2021+ Ford Bronco DIY Kit
Description
For the do-it-yourself Bronco owners, this stand-alone battery tray kit gives you the flexibility to build your dual-battery setup exactly the way you want it. Whether you prefer to use your own battery isolator, handle the wiring yourself, or need a custom configuration that the full Genesis Offroad kit doesn’t support, this DIY option provides the perfect foundation. The tray and lid include no electronics, allowing you full freedom to design your system your way—while still supplying every piece of hardware needed for a straightforward installation.
Included in the Box
Steel Battery Tray
- CNC laser-cut and precision-bent for a perfect fit
- Powder-coated for long-term durability and corrosion resistance
Steel Battery Lid
- Bare top lid with no electronics or wiring included
- Equipped with multiple threaded studs for mounting your own components
- Integrated grommets for clean, secure routing of custom-made cables
Hardware
- All necessary hardware included for an easy installation
Battery Size Required
Batteries sold separately.
This kit requires Odyssey ODP-AGM25 (Group 25) batteries.
Install Time
If you’re comfortable with basic tools, you can typically install this DIY kit in your driveway in 2–3 hours, especially when following our detailed installation video.
Local 4x4 shops generally charge 2 hours for installation on a stock Bronco.
Additional installation time will be required for wiring and mounting your custom electronics.
Compatibility
Fits all engine options and all trim levels of the 2021+ Ford Bronco.
Important Fitment Note:
Space under the hood is extremely limited. We strongly recommend Odyssey Group 25 batteries because their tapered lower case allows for a perfect fit without any modifications.
Most other Group 25 batteries have straight sides and will require trimming the factory sheet metal at the front corner to create sufficient clearance near the engine.
Partner item — ships directly from Genesis Offroad
