2007–2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Gen 3 Dual Battery System
This Gen 3 dual battery system gives Toyota FJ Cruiser owners a reliable way to power winches, lighting, air systems, fridges, and other demanding accessories without risking the cranking battery. The system uses a smart automatic combiner, heavy-duty bus bars, and premium wiring for a clean and dependable power solution.
Smart Power Hub
The Power Hub features dedicated positive and negative bus bars with multiple stud sizes for high-amp wiring and screw terminals for low-amp accessories. A Boost Switch provides Auto, On, and Off modes, and a dedicated port supports the optional G Screen monitoring system.
Automatic Battery Management
The smart battery combiner links or isolates the batteries based on voltage. It charges the cranking battery first, then charges both together. When voltage drops, the system isolates the batteries, ensuring accessories continue running from the auxiliary battery without draining the starter battery.
Heavy-Duty Smart Combiner
The smart combiner is rated for 300 amps continuous, 500 amps for short durations, and up to 2,000 amps momentarily. It requires no power to stay engaged and produces no heat during operation.
Battery Requirements
Matching Group 25 batteries are required. The factory battery cannot be reused.
Premium Cable Construction
All included wiring is 2ga pure copper welding cable for maximum flexibility, conductivity, and durability. Copper lugs are tin-plated for corrosion resistance and sealed with heavy adhesive-lined heat shrink for long-term reliability.
Installation
Typical installation time is 2–3 hours with basic tools. Additional time may be needed if aftermarket accessories must be rerouted to the new bus bars.
