2021+ Ford Bronco Gen 3 Dual Battery System
Description
Batteries Sold Separately: Group 25 Batteries Required
2021+ Ford Bronco Gen 3 Dual Battery System
Unlock the full electrical potential of your Bronco with the Genesis Offroad Gen 3 Dual Battery System. Designed specifically for the tight engine bay of the 2021+ Ford Bronco, this system provides unmatched reliability, clean wiring, and intelligent power management for all your accessories.
GEN 3 Power Hub Features
Bus Bars
Adding electrical accessories has never been easier. All devices connected to the bus bars draw power from the auxiliary battery, ensuring your cranking battery remains protected. The bus bars include:
- Three heavy-duty studs: 3/8", 5/16", and 1/4" for winches, compressors, fuse blocks, and other high-amp accessories
- Three #10 screws for smaller ring terminals and low-amp devices
Boost Switch
- Auto: Automatically connects or disconnects the batteries based on voltage
- On: Manually links the batteries—acts like built-in jumper cables for emergency starting
- Off: Manually separates the batteries
G Screen Port
Effortlessly plug in the optional G Screen Monitoring System using a single cable to view real-time system data.
How the System Works
The Gen 3 system uses a smart battery combiner to manage both batteries automatically:
- At engine startup, it charges the cranking battery first
- Once charged, it links both batteries in parallel so the alternator charges them together
- When voltage drops below ~12.7v for one minute, it separates the batteries
Your accessories continue to run from the auxiliary battery—protecting your cranking battery from accidental drain.
Battery Size Requirements
Batteries are sold separately. Due to extremely limited space in the Bronco engine bay, Odyssey ODP-AGM25 batteries fit best. Other Group 25 batteries with straight sides may require cutting factory sheet metal. Refer to our installation video for details.
Bus Bar Specs
- Stud Sizes: 3/8", 5/16", 1/4"
- Additional Connections: Three #10 screws for smaller accessories
Cable Construction
Our cables are made from premium 2ga pure copper welding cable:
- More flexible and more conductive than standard battery cable
- Thicker, abrasion-resistant jacket for superior durability
- Tin-plated copper lugs resist corrosion
- Adhesive-lined heat shrink seals out moisture for long-term protection
Installation Time
- Typical DIY install: 2–3 hours using our step-by-step installation video
- Professional installation: Most shops bill ~2 hours
- Add time if you need to reroute aftermarket wiring to the bus bars
Compatibility
- Fits all 2021+ Ford Bronco trims and engine options
- Strongly recommended: Odyssey Group 25 batteries for a no-mod fit
- Non-tapered batteries may require minor sheet-metal trimming
Included in the Box
- Gen 3 Power Hub: Pre-wired smart battery combiner for automatic charging management
- Steel Battery Tray: CNC laser-cut, precision-bent, and powder-coated for durability
- Hardware Kit: All components required for a clean, straightforward installation
