Carbon TANK - 20000lb Winch 24V [Clearance]
Description
The Carbon Offroad TANK 20000lb Winch is a true powerhouse — engineered to deliver unmatched strength, precision, and water protection. Designed for serious off-roaders, overlanders, and recovery professionals, the TANK represents a new generation of winch design: lighter, stronger, smarter. While “TANK” usually means heavy, this one defies the stereotype — built tough yet surprisingly lightweight.
Engineering & Construction
The TANK’s frame and gearbox housings are CNC-machined from billet and cast aluminium alloys for maximum strength with minimum weight. Key structural components such as the winch drum remain steel for durability, while the cast-alloy control box and solid alloy fairlead add both toughness and refined design. The result is a winch that’s as functional as it is impressive to look at.
Sealing & Waterproofing
Every TANK winch motor and drum frame mount is assembled and pressure-tested at the factory to 20 PSI — equivalent to 14 m underwater — guaranteeing a watertight seal before it leaves the line. The gearbox housing features a two-stage mechanical and O-ring sealing system, achieving IP69K-level protection from water ingress. You can count on this winch to stay dry and operational in any conditions.
Specifications

- Hook: high-strength forged alloy, wide-gate style
- Control box: premium cast-alloy design with 600 amp solenoid and inbuilt wireless receiver
- Isolator: heavy-duty marine rotary switch with mounting bracket
- Winch housing: cast and precision-machined alloy
- Gear train: 440:1 ratio 4-stage planetary gearset
- Clutch: rotating ring-gear clutch, easy to engage/disengage
- Synthetic rope: 21 m × 14 mm UHMWPE fibre
- Drum diameter: 88 mm
- Battery: 650 CCA minimum
- Weight: 37 kg (shipping), 33.4 kg (as fitted)
Performance & Control
A 7.8 HP series-wound motor, 440:1 four-stage planetary gearset, and rotating ring-gear clutch combine for smooth power delivery and easy free-spooling. The brake is built into the gear train to prevent heat transfer to the drum — protecting your synthetic rope during long or heavy pulls. The 24-volt system provides efficient, high-torque output for large vehicles and recovery trucks.
Mounting & Compatibility
The control box can be mounted directly over the drum using integrated tie-bar threads, over the motor with supplied brackets, or remotely using an optional mount. The TANK fits the industry-standard 254 mm × 114.3 mm (10 × 4.5 in) bolt pattern. With over 9 tonnes of single-line pulling capacity, it’s suitable for full-size 4×4s, off-road campers, and trucks running 24-volt systems.
