Features of our Ford 8.8 install kit are as follows: same lug nut bolt pattern; disc brakes ('95 & newer); 31 spline axle shafts; 8.8" diameter ring gear (D35 is 7.5"); 120% stronger than D35; only 20 pounds more than D35; trac-loc differential stock; and 3-1/4" diameter tubes...
Does this kit also work with a Jeep XJ ? Or is that a different kit ?
We have it for the XJ. Here is the part #98600

Does this kit include instructions with measurements so i know exactly where to weld everything on at and what the pinion angle should be?
Travis,
There are no install instructions included in the 8.8 kits. What you need to do is:
1) take out the old axle
2) Install the new axle and center
3) Set your pinion angle (see Tom Woods website for a good tool calculator to set pinion angle)
4) Bolt on and tack weld your MORE 8.8 kit parts while axle and pinion angle is in place and set
5) Remove tack welded 8.8 parts and weld complete
6) Re-install 8.8 welded kit.
