Pedal Commander for Jeep Commander
Description
If your Commander hesitates before it goes, that’s drive-by-wire throttle lag. Pedal Commander plugs in at the accelerator pedal using OEM-style connectors and tightens the link between your foot and the throttle body. No tune and no horsepower fairy dust—just clean, immediate response so your Jeep moves the moment you ask.
What it is & how it helps
Pedal Commander is a throttle response controller. It intercepts the pedal signal, removes the factory delay, and lets you choose how quickly the throttle opens. The result is sharper takeoffs, more confident passing, and finer control in the rough—exactly what a seven-passenger Jeep needs when it’s loaded with people, gear, or a trailer.
Dial-in control (36 total settings)
Four modes—Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+—each with nine sensitivity levels. Run calmer mapping when traction is limited or you’re creeping through a trailhead, then bump responsiveness for on-ramp merges or two-lane passes. Adjust from the compact in-cab unit or via Bluetooth with the free mobile app.
Why it matters on a Commander
- Eliminates throttle lag for immediate pedal-to-engine response.
- Lets you tailor feel for tires, load, terrain, and driving style.
- Eco Mode softens tip-in for smooth power delivery and, paired with efficient habits, can help trim fuel use.
- Optional in-app Anti-Theft can disable pedal input for extra peace of mind (subscription on select vehicles).
Install
True plug-and-play—about 10–15 minutes with basic hand skills. No cutting or splicing. Mount the control unit with the included bracket/Velcro, secure the harness, and go. Vehicle-specific software is preloaded.
Compatibility
- PC30 / Jeep / Commander / XK (2006-2006) / (3.7L V6 – 4.7L V8 – 5.7L HEMI V8)
- PC31 / Jeep / Commander / XK (2007-2010) / (3.7L V6 – 4.7L V8 – 5.7L HEMI V8)
